If you’ve noticed static or crackling in your hearing devices, moisture or sweat could be interfering with their performance.
An easy and effective solution is to use ear sleeves, which can help protect your hearing aids, provide additional comfort, and prolong your aids’ lifespan.
In this blog, we’ll walk you through the simple process of applying ear sleeves to your hearing devices. Watch the video below for a visual demonstration, and follow the step-by-step instructions for best results.
Why Use Ear Sleeves?
Moisture and sweat can have a negative impact on the performance of your hearing aids, causing static or crackling sounds, or even reducing the overall function.
Ear sleeves act as a barrier, protecting the devices from these external factors and helping you to keep your hearing aids in top condition for longer.
-
1. Remove the Dome: Start by carefully removing the dome from the speaker of your hearing aid. The dome is the soft part that fits inside your ear.
-
2. Slide the Ear Sleeve On: Once the dome is removed, take your ear sleeve and slide it over the hearing device. Make sure it fits snugly but is not overly tight.
-
3. Reattach the Dome: After positioning the sleeve, reattach the dome to the speaker, ensuring it’s securely in place.
-
4.Check the Fit: Make sure that the dome is firmly attached to avoid any issues when you wear your hearing device.
